We all the Nepalese people celebrate Dashain and Deewali as a national festival. As most of the people in this country follow Hinduism so, regarding this our government has declared Dashain and Deewali as main festival of the country. All the offices remain close or get vacation for this auspicious occasion. Likewise, we da SLC batch of Buddha academy 2066 and all other student got one month long vacation.

hope all you dude are celebrating vacation lot in your own style. As i am being a present editor of our blog, first and foremost i would like to wish all u dude a "Very happy Dashain and Deewali". And also enjoy a vacation lot with family in your home. About me, i am enjoying my vacation but gotta little prob regarding this festival. For that i would love to ask a little question to all guys that "what would u feel when u see murder of many animals in front of your eyes? and u are requested to have in the form of ur meal?" To me it was great unkindness. My only slogan is "enjoy in the way where other won't hurt."
As this is the time of festival there are lots of positive activities which we celebrate in Dashain n Deewali". but from my view we have got two big probs....
- slaughtering of animals in public areas
- Gambling "where different social violences are created
We slaughter innocent animals unwisely only for the purpose of meat. In our society, it is believed that slaughtering animal(i.e. goat,chicken, buffalo etc) and ofering it to the goat is vanishing all the bad omens from our life. I am zero percent satisfied with this belief. Instead of fulfilling happiness in the life, i hope more n more other bad omens will create. Not only this, from others view as well we remain like a funny joker. Secondly, lots of gambling during this session is other bad aspect. In the lure of money there can occur fight which create social violence. So, i openly would like to request all u festival followers that please enjoy your vacation in the way where no violence will occur.
Love animals, try to be at least 50% veg if you cant be 100%.

Tihar or Deewali"the festival of light"
After Dashain here comes a festival called "Tihar" this festival is recognised as the festival of light. This festival is celebrated for 4 days. one the most interesting part of this festival is "Bhai Tika" and "Deusi". All the followers n non followers of this festival can enjoy. I have experienced it a years ago when i was in my hometown. on the auspicious day of "Bhai Tika" all sisters pray for happiness of their brothers. And all brothers present gift to their sis. So, i like it a lot. Lots of light can be seen in the town during this festival. Main aspect of this festival is that all ages of people can enjoy in this festival.
